    Description

Early Silverplated ice water pitcher or kettle made by the Middletown Plate Co of Middletown Ct. In business from 1864 to incorporation with International Silver in 1899. This pitcher has a beautiful ornament. Pot measures 13" tall to top of finial and 7" across the base, 6.7lb
The condition is good with no plating loss and clean inside. Double wall construction keeps the beverage colder. This kind of design was used mostly in the 1860's. Truly a great piece of American silver history.
Plate in front has I guess a name of previous of owners.
The photos accurately depict the appearance and condition of the item.
