    Description

    ASCOT SHEFFIELD BY COMMUNITY Silverplate Footed Water Pitcher with Ice Lip. This is an elegant silver-plated pitcher in excellent condition. The pitcher is nicely footed.
    Bottom of the pitcher reads: ASCOT SHEFFIELD DESIGN REPRODUCTION BY COMMUNITY.
    The pitcher is clean and has one dent about 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch on the widest part of the body almost directly under the pouring spout. See photo with finger pointing to the area.
    The four feet, handle, and top of pitcher have detailed design. The pattern is Ascot (an an old English Sheffield Pattern from the early 1800's) and this is said to be one of the most sought after patterns for silverplate.

    Pitcher is 7 1/2" to the Rim and just under 8" to top of spout and approx 8" from spout to handle Has a very solid weight at 2 pounds, 6 ounces and sits flat to surface.
    Design is Victorian floral detail on spout, handle, rims, top and feet. Detailed finely etched workmanship. No monogram but there is a space for one. Pitcher has rococo style, decorated bulbous body. Ornate workmanship on upper rim and handle. Beautiful workmanship!
